Description
MARTIN VAN SLYCK HOUSE

Old records show that "Martin Van Slyck removed from Green Street to Lower Ferry Street on the west side" and lived there from 1807 to 1811. Other records show that Martin Van Slyck leased the property at No. 111 from Isaac DeGraaf in 1800 for a period of eleven years. It appears that there was no house on the property when it was leased, but evidently the house was built before Van Slyck went to Ferry Street to live in 1807.
