JEMMIE BOYD HOUSE
The house at this location was owned at different times in early days by Isaac DeGraaf and by Jemmie Boyd. Historians are not in agreement as to which of them built it, but the weight of evidence appears to be in favor of Boyd, with DeGraaf as a later owner. In any event it is said to have been constructed in 1792. Andrew Van Vranken Raymond, later president of Union College, lived here with his parents, Rev. Henry Augustus and Catherine Miller Raymond, when he was an undergraduate at Union. It has undergone extensive restoration.
